Week 29

Wow, I am almost 30 weeks. Approximately 10 more weeks and I will be a real, full fledged mom. Crazy! But I am so ready. This was the first weekend in a long time that Andy and I got to spend by ourselves. It was a busy week of work, after the fun weekend of showers, and then Andy and I went to a couple of our favorite restaurants together. This is always such a treat! The weekend began on Friday night as we did the usual Jewel and Whole Foods grocery shopping experience at 11pm. It really is the best time to go, not busy at all! We definitely needed to do this because we had been traveling to MN so much that our fridge and cupboards were empty. So, we got that situation under control! Saturday, the apartment needed a real cleaning job. I dusted, vacuumed, cleaned all of the mirrors, and washed the sheets and towels. I kind of wish I was having company so that they could see all of my hard work! Oh well, I just kept telling Andy what a great job I did. He appreciated it!

That night we went to a great restaurant called Bin 36. It was delightful! Although it is kind of a wine bar, I let Andy do the wine drinking and I did some good eating. We got a cheese appetizer platter, which was delicious, and then had some great dinner. Afterwards, we decided that dinner wasn't enough, so we went to another one of our faves, called Hot Chocolate, for dessert! We had some hot chocolate, of course, and then some delicious dessert as well. Let me tell you that baby loves chocolate! I may have gone a little overboard, but baby was moving around like crazy after that treat! Andy always jokes that baby will be spoiled and only like good, gourmet chocolate; non of that Hershey's or Snickers stuff! That's the pastry chef in him I guess! The fun did not stop there, friends...oh no! Sunday morning, we met a friend at North Pond, a restaurant in Lincoln Park (on North Pond, go figure) for brunch! Again, it was very delicious and it was a wonderful morning. Unfortunately I had to go to work that night, but we had a great weekend just the two of us, well three I guess, and maxed on our quota of eating out! Since we have a limited amount of time left in the wonderful city of Chicago, we could justify all those good eats! Anyway, I did remember to take a belly pic! I know, your welcome! Can't wait to see you all soon!
You can see the beginning of baby stuff in the background.
