Week 28

Shower time! This week was another planned trip back to MN for my baby showers and also some fun preparations for the move back home. I flew in Friday, separately from Andy because he had to work, and met with someone about a potential job for when I move back to MN! The semi-interview went very well and they seemed super interested! So, hopefully everything will work out wonderfully! Anyway, my first shower was on Saturday morning, which was given to me by my aunt! She is a great hostess and had a couple extra cute girl helpers that made the day that much more special. We played some fun games, like match the Disney character with its corresponding movie. She also made these super cute "nuk" necklaces that consisted of lifesavers, frosting and jellybeans, and then we were not allowed to say baby, Andy, or Kjirsten. It was pretty funny, everyone forgot and I was totally winning until I started opening the gifts; then I lost. It's ok though, I wasn't supposed to win anyway! Brunch was excellent and I got a lot of really fun things for baby; lots of blankets, my stroller, my bedding, and a super cute winter outfit! It was a really great day! Thanks for everything Auntie Kristine...and Hannah and Emma too, of course!! Here are some pics from the day!

"Nuk" necklaces!

Me stealing the nuk necklaces!
My lamp that matches my bedding, super cute!

A really soft blanket knitted by my Nana!
My next shower was on Sunday afternoon given to me by a very good family friend. She was also a great hostess! We had a wonderful brunch there as well, played some great games like match the celebrity with their crazy baby name and make as many baby names as you can using the letters from Kjirsten and Andy's name. They were great fun! I got many more wonderful gifts here as well; more blankets (this child will never be cold), some cute outfits, a diaper genie (always a necessity), a Caribou stuffed animal with a matching bib and sippy cup (for those of you who know the Caribou Coffee story) and many more fun things! I had to leave so many of these things at home because I couldn't fit them all on the plane with me. It was only for the better though, because I would just have to transport them all back to MN when we move. I cannot wait to play with everything...I mean, I cannot wait for baby to play with everything!! Thank you so much to Kathi, it was a wonderful day! Here are some pics...

All the ladies working diligently during the games!
