Week 7

Week 7 was an exciting week for us. We had our first appointment with the OB and we had our first ultrasound (4/15/09). We had the ultrasound done first and it was very exciting! Not only did we get to see the little baby growing inside of me, but we got to hear the heartbeat for the first time as well. The baby just looks like a little peanut right now. But the heartbeat was so strong. Andy and I were amazed! It was such a cool experience! They said that everything looked great. Baby was measuring appropriately and the heartbeat sounded great. From there, they calculated the due date by measuring baby and taking the last day of my period. That magical day is November 28, 2009!!!!! We are very excited! The rest of the appointment, we actually met with my doctor's physician assistant, and she told us all of the information that we needed to know.....what I can and can't eat, exercising, traveling, medications, all that kind of stuff. They also drew a lot of blood work from me, which was no big deal. Thankfully everything came back normal.
It was so great to have Andy there with me. He was so excited about the ultrasound, but even throughout the entire appointment, he was asking a million questions....yes, 1 million. I guess I didn't realize how much I already knew from working in the field and seeing these things everyday. He was really cute though. He just wants to be involved. That's my wonderful husband!
