Week 12

This week I threw a bridal shower for my friend Christy who is getting married in August. It was a lot of fun. I was nervous as to how it would go because I have never thrown a shower before. But it turned out lovely and everyone was thrilled about it. It was great to meet some of Phil's family and they were all wonderful! I had it at Cafe BaBaReeba, which is a tapas place here in Chicago. We had our own room with our own little menu, which I picked out. The food was delicious, and it always is there so I wasn't worried. However, I had never had brunch/lunch there, only dinner, so it was a nice change! She got a lot of really fun things, a lot of cooking utensils and cookbooks, which if you know Christy, is kind of funny. All in all it was a great day! I have another belly pic for you all too, taken at the end of 12 weeks. I know I missed a week but don't worry, there is still really no change. I feel the same and really no other progress that I know about. Here is some fun info though about what baby is doing at 12 weeks!

The fetus is now about 2.5 in. in length and weighs about 0.7 oz.
The feet are almost half an inch long.
The fetus starts moving spontaneously.
The face is beginning to look like a baby's face.
The pancreas is functioning and producing insulin.
Fingernails and toenails appear.
The baby can suck his/her thumb, and get hiccups.
Crazy, right!?
