Week 14

Sorry guys for the lack of postings lately. I know I am a couple of weeks behind so here are the updates. Week 14 was pretty uneventful. Just a lot of working and no real changes with baby or me. On Saturday we did go out to dinner with our friends from Madison, WI. They were visiting Chicago for their Anniversary and thought it would be a good idea to catch up with us, and it was! It was so great to see them as it had been too long. We had a great dinner at an Italian restaurant and it was really fun. Thanks for the good times Jody and Tim!

Since I have no real news here is an update as to what is going on with baby at 14 weeks:
- measures 3.5 in. (about the size of a lemon) and weighs 1.5 oz.
- baby can squint, frown, pee, and possibly suck his/her thumb
- starting to develop an ultra-fine covering of hair, called lanugo
- baby's liver starts making bile
- spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells
- Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little one's hands and feet are more flexible and active...hopefully soon!!

I also have a belly pic for you, end of week 14. Who knew I would grow a belly so fast and acquire so much hair!?

Ha ha ha ha! Andy thought this would be hilarious so I had to put it on. He is sticking his belly out. Just to point that out!! ;-)
